Barry Cohen, CPA, CFP®, CIMA®
Financial Advisor

Barry Cohen is a financial advisor and the owner of WAM. He has over 25 years’ experience working with individuals in helping them prepare for retirement and in planning and managing their financial resources to achieve their financial objectives.

In addition to operating a financial and tax advisory practice Barry has significant experience as a senior financial executive working for some of the most prominent organizations in the financial services, management consulting, and not-for-profit sectors. These organizations include:

    •Atlantic Philanthropies, Inc. - Finance Director, 2008 - 2010
    •McKinsey & Company, Inc. - Treasurer, 1999 - 2007
    •Morgan Stanley - Vice President, 1985 - 1998

Barry is a CPA and holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), and Certified Investment Management Analyst™ (CIMA®) designations. He is a NY State Registered Investment Advisor and a licensed NY State life and health insurance agent. He is a member of the New York State Society of CPA's, Financial Planning Association, and the Investment Management Consultants Association.

Barry graduated the University at Buffalo in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Accounting / Finance). He currently lives with his wife and four children in West Hempstead, NY
